Teaching/Educational Philosophy

One of the joys of teaching is working with energetic and hardworking students who through their commitment to learning inspire me to work hard alongside them as we discover the intricacies and nuances of literature and how to express their epiphanies in writing. Witnessing student discussion, beautiful writing, student presentations and supportive interactions, are just some of the many benefits I experience as a teacher. EHS' diverse student body offers a rich classroom experience as students teach one another and me when sharing their varied and unique perspectives on literature and other relevant topics. It is a privilege to work with my dynamic and kind students who offer so much to our school and community and who make EHS a wonderful place for teaching and learning.
