Teaching/Educational Philosophy

Teaching middle school is primarily about creating relationships with and among students. Of course curriculum is important, but I believe students learn best when they feel heard, respected, and known by their teacher and their classmates. I seek to create a learning environment that is both fun and educational. Learning is active; students need to talk, argue, interact, and move.
