Eric Schoeffler

I grew up in sunny Southern CA and enjoyed riding my skateboard and surfing with friends.  I played water polo and was a swimmer.  Traveling out of the country is what got me to leave my bubble and I’m so glad to have landed in the Bay Area.  I really enjoyed college, so I went for 10 years and triple majored and got three teaching credentials.  I decided to become a teacher after doing art therapy with refugee children in Kosovo after the war there.  It is  truly rewarding being able to teach art that allows others to express themselves is.

Teaching/Educational Philosophy

I strongly believe that students will achieve success in anything using patience and persistence.  Life is made up of many kinds of challenges and all students bring their own voice to their art.  My goal is for students to be able to communicate their story to others through their work.

Personal Note

I’ve got many hobbies, but spend most of my free time fixing up my house or classic cars.  I love to travel and have been to many foreign lands.
